Reverse Engineering
Reverse Engineering is one of the key features of Navicat Data Modeler. This feature allow you to load already existing database structures and create new ER diagrams. With the Reverse Engineer Wizard in Navicat Data Modeler, database models can be graphically visualized so you can see how database elements, such as attributes, relationships, indexes, uniques, comments and other objects depending on the particular database, relate to each other without showing the actual data. Navicat Data Modeler is able to use a number of different communication methods:
|
Comparison and Synchronization
Synchronize to Database feature will give you the full picture of all databases differences. Once your databases are compared, you can view the differences and generate the necessary synchronization script to update the destination database and make it identical to your model. Flexible comparison and synchronization settings will enable you to set up a customized comparison key for comparison and for synchronization. |
SQL Code Generation
Navicat Data Modeler not only a tool to create ER diagrams and design your databases. Its Export SQL feature gives you the opportunity to get a full control over the final SQL script, generate individual parts of your model, generate referential integrity rules, comments, character set etc. The Export SQL feature may save you hundreds of hours of your work. |
