Paessler Wins "Software Vendor of the Year" at the CRN Awards
It all began back in the spring/summer of 2015. I suggested to the team that we had made some fantastic progress with our channel partners over the past year or two and that we should submit an entry for Software Vendor of the Year in the upcoming CRN Channel Awards. Little did I know, 1200 words, a 2½ minute video and many months of nail biting later, that we would actually go on and win!
We were up against some titans of the industry, with just three of the seven competitors in our category booking a total of 8.5 billion dollars a year in revenue! But we succeeded in the end and it was due in no small part to the highly successful commercial partnerships we have created and nurtured. All our resale partners have seen enormous growth in their PRTG revenues. They understand our business and we theirs. We keep things simple for them and they appreciate that, because doing business with vendors is often much harder than it needs to be. We encourage and incentivize with a carrot not a stick. Just like the software we develop, we ensure we are easy to work with.
Most would agree the CRN Awards are the de facto pinnacle for our channel industry and they mean a lot to any company that wins one. Anyone who has attended on the night will appreciate the importance of showing your peers, your partners (and your competitors of course!) that you have had a good year. Winning a CRN award is the official stamp of approval from an unbiased, well-known panel of experienced judges and this attracts new partners, new customers and new talent.
We are all so proud of this achievement. Now all I need to do is to figure out how we are going to defend our title next year!
