Kampus Mulai Melirik SAP untuk Operasional

detikcom - Bandung, Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung mencoba untuk menerapkan SAP Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) untuk solusi bagi operasional kampus. Dengan implementasi ini berarti sudah ada 3 kampus di Indonesia yang mengimplementasikan SAP ERP.

Selain Universitas Maranatha, dua kampus lainnya yang sudah lebih dulu menerapkan SAP adalah Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta dan Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus) Jakarta.

Arief Setiawan, Business Manager SAP Indonesia dalam kesempatan berbincang dengan detikINET usai kick off project SAP ERP di Gedung Administrasi Pusat (GAP), Kampus Maranatha, mengatakan bahwa saat ini kampus sudah melirik SAP sebagai solusi bagi operasional kampus.

"Ini (Universitas Maranatha - red) adalah kampus ketiga. Yang pertama untuk wilayah Jabar-Banten. Saat ini sudah ada beberapa kampus yang menyatakan keinginannya untuk implementasikan SAP ERP di kampusnya," katanya, Senin (4/7/2011).

Sebelumnya, SAP memiliki SAP HER. Sebuah solusi untuk universitas yang memungkinkan efektifitas biaya manajemen dengan menyediakan fungsi-fungsi yang meliputi seluruh kegiatan inti universitas, baik perencanaan akademis, organisasidan administrasi data mahasiswa, serta administrasi biaya dan hibah dalam akun mahasiswa.

Dalam implementasi solusi ini, Universitas Maranatha dibantu oleh mitra SAP di Indonesia yakni Metrasys. Unit bisnis dari PT Multimedia Nusantara (METRA), anak perusahaan Telkom ini bertanggung jawab untuk mengaplikasikan SAP ERP.

"Dengan memiliki sistem yang efektif dan efisien akan memberikan kami banyak waktu untuk merencanakan dan mengelola kampus ini dengan lebih baik lagi. Solusi SAP ERP ini menjadi jawaban dari pertanyaan tersebut," ungkap Rektor Universitas Maranatha, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. P. Srptoratno Siregar, DEA saat ditanya detikINET mengenai alasan pihaknya mengimplementasikan SAP.

Untuk tahap pertama, akan diimplementasikan modul Akutansi Keuangan, Pengendalian Biaya, dan Pengelolaan Aset. Modul tersebut akan digunakan oleh Biro Administrasi Keuangan dan Yayasan dengan total sekitar 19 karyawan.

Saat seluruh tahapan implementasi tuntas, diharapkan seluruh karyawan dan mahasiswa dapat terkoneksi dengan SAP melalui Employee Self Service dan Student Self Service.
