WhatsUp Gold wins in Network Testing, Monitoring & Protection category
Singapore, October 28, 2016 – Ipswitch, the leader in easy to try, buy and use IT and network management software, today announced as a winner in Network Testing, Monitoring & Protection category in NetworkWorld Asia 2016 Readers' Choice/Rising Star Awards. Ipswitch won the award for WhatsUp Gold, a network and application monitoring software, which reimagines how IT teams discover, visualize, troubleshoot and monitor networks, servers, virtual machines and applications.
The awards were presented at a special ceremony at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel on October 27. The awards are conferred on the basis of the votes from readers of NetworkWorld Asia magazine, and the Networks Asia, Security Asia and Storage Asia online portals. Close to 300 readers have voted – across a broad range of categories – for vendors or service providers that have made the most impact on Asian end-user organizations in 2016.
“As trends such as enterprise mobility, interconnection, the Internet of Things and Big Data start impacting enterprises in the region, the need to visually monitor, troubleshoot and protect enterprise networks and applications becomes so much more critical,” said Victor Ng, Editor-in-Chief of NetworkWorld Asia and Enterprise Group Editorial Director at Questex Asia. “Solutions such as WhatsUp Gold are providing that much-needed peace of mind for IT folks tasked with ensuring network infrastructure, business applications and information are available and protected.”
“We are pleased to have been awarded the highly regarded award from NetworkWorld Asia. This award is a testament to our capabilities in the network monitoring space,” said Alessandro Porro, Senior Vice President of APAC and International Sales at Ipswitch. “As the IT industry is constantly evolving, we will continue to provide solutions that meet IT professionals’ needs and make them successful in their daily jobs. I would like to congratulate the team for their efforts to create and deliver a successful network monitoring platform and hope we will continue to exceed expectations of our customers.”
The latest version of the software – Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold 2017, which was launched in July 2016 – helps IT teams control the increasing complexity of today’s hybrid environment with a single and flexible software solution that provides a comprehensive and interactive view of the entire network. WhatsUp Gold 2017 enables IT teams to discover, visualize and interact with their IT environment via advanced visualization technology, while at the same time monitoring their entire environment with one flexible Ipswitch software license.
